Coach Carsten is a graduate of Fresno State and alum of Redwood High School. He played water polo all four years in high school and started coaching not long after. Over the past seven years, he's had the opportunity to coach at Redwood, Farmersville, and Mission Oak High School, where he helped start and build new programs from the ground up.  His focus is on teaching strong fundamentals, solid game knowledge, and good technique. He truly believes that any student can become a standout athlete with time, effort, and the right guidance. Outside of coaching, he works as a middle school English teacher and love spending time hiking in the Sequoias. He's excited to be part of the El Diamante water polo program and can’t wait to work with new athletes in such a strong and well-established high school program.
